PAUL OWEN
Founder, account director

Before Owen Media, Paul was vice president of a high tech PR firm and worked at Seattle’s largest ad agency, DDB Needham. At those jobs he learned about irreverent internet marketing and office politics. Paul started working on behalf of Intel in 1995 on IT and consumer campaigns. He started Owen Media in 1997 when IBM, Intel and Microsoft asked him to start a global technology initiative. He’s worked for most of the major global technology brands since then, growing the agency to 35 employees in three offices. He spent 2007-08 in Italy with his wife, two children, two dogs and two European clients. Today he manages the team from Seattle where there is (remarkably) less coffee, but more clients.

JON PUTNAM
Account director

Before joining the Owen Media team, Jon spent 25 years in marketing and communications at Intel Corporation where he was most recently the world-wide campaign manager for Intel business clients. At Intel Jon worked on business-to-business, consumer and embedded products and campaigns and has a great deal of experience with business clients, home and business networking products and HPC systems. He has led every form of communications including marketing and communications strategy development, positioning, branding, naming, messaging, point-of-purchase, collateral, video, interactive demos, outbound communications of all forms, and events management. In addition, Jon has an MFA in theatre design and has designed sets and lights for over sixty-five professional and educational productions. Like Paul, Jon too enjoys a good cup of coffee whether in Seattle, Rome or in his home town of Portland, Oregon.


JEFF CALLISON
Creative director

Jeff is a pioneer of branding, ecommerce and interactive design, launching Motion Design in Venice, CA on behalf of major consumer brands Fred Segal, Pamela Anderson and Columbia TriStar. He became art director at JWT in Los Angeles and was promoted to interactive creative director in 2000. In 2005 he became the creative director for Fred Segal, creating an online presence that quickly exceeded millions in annual revenue. For Owen Media Jeff provides creative and design direction for the agency’s global technology and new energy brands.
